LAST MINUTE ! THE 12th MARSEILLES' INTERNATIONAL OPERA COMPETITION IS POSTPONED TO OCTOBER 2013 PROGRAMME Each candidate must present seven opera or opera buffa arias of their own choice, drawn from the l8th, l9th and 20th centuries. Each candidate must sing in at least three modern languages including French. Preliminary Selection : Each candidate will sing one aria of the list. She/He will choose the piece she/he prefers (Max. 5 minutes). Semi-final : Each candidate will sing one aria of the list. The jury will choose from the six arias remaining in the list. Final : Each candidate will sing two arias of the list. The jury will choose from the five arias remaining in the list. Under exceptional circumstances or problems in the orchestral scores orders, the Jury is allowed to choose one aria sung during the previous rounds. Singers must provide the original vocal and piano scores of each aria. The candidate must perform the programme submitted. The programme cant be changed after the registration. . PRIZES MALE VOICE First prize : 7 500 Second prize : 4 000 Third prize : 2 500 FEMALE VOICE First prize : 7 500 Second prize : 4 000 Third prize : 2 500 AUDIENCE PRIZE 1 500 "JEUNE JURY" PRIZE* to the value of 1 500 (* Subject to modification) Additional Clause : An inclusive allowance of 275 Euros will be payed to each candidate selected for the Final.
